A second trip to the Side-Hill Wampus course! Never before had that happened…and it almost didn’t happen this time. The bus was ten minutes late and then…surprise! No bus! But thanks to athletes with drivers licences and a couple conveniently close parents, we were able to make the meet happen. SKREET!

With no race on the docket for a few days, the “all clear” button was pressed for fast racing. Samantha opted to dial back a little, but still finished as MV’s top girl. Not too far back was Madison, followed by Kendra with what may have been a PR. Violet was next across, followed a minute later by a pack of 12 MV girls in 12 seconds: Alyssa, Emmaleigh (in an all-time PR!), Liz, and Jessi. Victoria rolled in a minute or so later, followed by Lydia and then Taylor. Post-race, I believe the girls set a new school record for number of trips through “the mouth”, a rather scary circle sculpture with teeth. Somehow this became an MV tradition.
